Ohhhh … so that’s what I call music? May 25, 2006

I am all better. (Whew!) It ended up being a quick bug, but now, just as that stress is gone, another one has popped up. It’s freaking 8th week. What the heck is going on? There are 2 weeks left of classes and 3 weeks total of school. Then we’re out of here. This feels so very messed up. Aaaaah! Okay, now that my shock has settled slightly, I need to get my tush moving on writing emails to professors asking them about internship opportunities. I should have done this weeks ago. I am wholly doomed. Okay, I cannot think that way. I must be positive. Pray for me. Please? I need an internship for when I come back from study abroad, and I need housing for then, too, and I need a job. Gosh, I “need” so much stuff. Well, here’s hoping for the best …

I moved some stuff up a little because my top bands didn’t always make sense …

Unh … I feel completely and utterly crappy. I have a headache, of which I am most definitely not a fan, and my stomach is all twingy. I managed some chicken noodle soup, orange juice, and water, but we’ll see what’s up with that. Hopefully this is a temporary bug … not on of those colds that plagues a person forever. :knockonwood: I got the hint when I was really tired at my cousin’s apartment. Then, the hot hot sun felt so amazing on my back, and while everyone else was happy about the coolness of the Cox Arena for my cousin’s graduation, all I could do was shiver. Gah. Now I just feel warm, because I’ve bundled up in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I look like a mess. Admittedly not too horrible considering I slept from about the time I got home (7:30 PM?) to 10:15 PM or so. Long nap. Then I figured I had to eat. Eh … why do I have to get sick. I was doing so well this quarter! … I fail. Oh well … I guess this is just a sign that I need an R&R weekend. What’s funny is that I swear I have bearly done anything these last few weeks. I felt like such a lazy bum. Today started a string of seeing family. This week, my mom’s brother’s family (he’s the oldest) for his middle daughter’s college commencement. Next weekend, my two aunts and my cousin (but they’re not her mother) are coming down for Memorial Day. I can’t say I’m completely looking forward to it, because it means hanging out with her boyfriend. Ever here of family-only time? The first weekend of June, I’m flying home for my sister’s high school graduation.

So much to do … so not the time to feel ill.

I thought this was a joke. I thought this was all edited together. I thought wrong.

If you want an intelligent laugh, check out Stephen Colbert’s Roast of President Bush at the 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner. I don’t think they’re going to be inviting him back … ever. He attacked pretty much everything this administration stands for, and it was brilliant. 🙂

I will actually get around to posting a real entry sometime, but until then, you lovely people are saddled with my links. Cheers!

Finished writing a midterm this morning. Didn’t go to class, but it was apparently a good day to miss. I found this article last night. I’m linking it here both to remember it and let other people read it. It appealed to the Asian-American in me.

An Asian Occasion

Also, I’m getting really into Pandora again. If you live in the US, check it out. Apologies to anybody who’s not in the US. It’s a licensing thing more than anything else.

I should stop knitting so goddamn much. I need to read US History and MMW and Vis. I need to work on my program. But no, I knit the whole day through. I’m doomed. I have two midterms on Friday. A program due that day, too (6 AM might as well be Thursday night). I need to get my ass in gear. I need to do paperwork. God help me. Please.
